| Maria Scavetta, President of Maidenhead Rotary Club, recently had the pleasure of attending the Windsor St George Rotary Club meeting, hosted by President Gareth Richards. It was also great to catch up with Ceri Davies from Windsor and Eton Rotary Club, making it an enjoyable evening of fellowship between neighbouring Rotary clubs. Rotary is at its best when clubs come together to share ideas, strengthen friendships and support each other’s projects, and this meeting was an excellent example of that spirit. | The guest speaker, Alison Carpenter from Clewer & Dedworth Together CIC, gave an inspiring presentation about the work being undertaken to bring local people together through community events. One of the highlights is the forthcoming Rock the Rec, on Sunday 30 August from 12.00 noon to 9.00 pm, celebrating five years of music, community and giving something back to Windsor. The event promises a fantastic day of live music, entertainment, food, and family activities for the community – a wonderful example of volunteers and local organisations working together to create something that benefits everyone. |
