At the club meeting on Monday 11th November, guest speaker Natalie Hernandez from Brighton & Hove Rotary Club introduced us to her club's project – Chat Club. It's a project she has been involved with since 2017-18.

What is Chat Club? Chat Club connects mentors in the UK with underprivileged and disadvantaged young people in schools and orphanages in Zanzibar and Kenya. The initiative helps to build self-belief and confidence in the youngsters as well as improving their language skills in a fun and innovative way.

Apart from providing computers for ease of communicating, the charity also raises funds for food, clothing and toiletries, educational needs, teachers' salaries, building improvements and treats.
