 | Nese Gok, President of Izmir Dokuz Eylul Rotary Club in Turkey, visited Maidenhead Rotary Club for their lunchtime meeting. Nese was welcomed by President Maria Scavetta and club members. She spoke about the wild fires in Izmir and expressed gratitude for the £500 donation by the club as aid. President Nese Gok has been a Rotarian for 25 years and started her journey as a Rotary Scholar, then joined her local Rotaract club, and finally became a Rotarian. She said "It was great meeting you and to be welcomed so warmly by Rotarian friends. Please let me know if you or any club members come to Izmir." The club enjoyed President Nese’s visit and look forward to staying in touch with a new International friend and colleague. |
