| It was wonderful to welcome visitors to our Maidenhead Rotary Club meeting following our summer break. We enjoyed a relaxed and friendly lunchtime meeting, with a great opportunity to catch up with fellow Rotarians and share ideas about our ongoing work in the community. We were particularly pleased to welcome Stuart Taylor, President of Langley and Ever Rotary Club, together with Neena and Ashok Vasudeva from Rotary Club of Delhi Qtab. Having visitors from other Rotary clubs is always a highlight of our meetings. Rotary is a worldwide organisation, but it is the friendships and connections between individual clubs and their members that help make it so special. Sharing Ideas and Fellowship The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss our plans for the coming months, including our community activities (supporting Maidenhead Boundary Walk), fundraising, international projects and, importantly, our plans to attract new members. It was particularly encouraging to be reminded that, even as a smaller club at the moment, Maidenhead Rotary remains active and committed to supporting worthwhile causes both locally and internationally. | Rotary Is Better Together We believe that Rotary clubs have much to gain by working together. Visiting other clubs gives us the chance to exchange ideas, learn from one another and build friendships that can lead to new opportunities to support our communities. Our recent visit to Windsor St George Rotary Club was a great example of this. It was therefore especially pleasing to welcome Rotarians from other clubs to Maidenhead in return. Come and Meet Us Maidenhead Rotary is an active and friendly club, and we are always pleased to welcome visitors — whether you are already a Rotarian from another club or someone who is simply curious about what Rotary does. We are currently looking for new members who would like to meet new people, enjoy fellowship and use their time, skills and enthusiasm to help others. You don’t need to know anything about Rotary and there is no obligation to join. Simply come along, meet us and find out more. Together, we can continue to make a difference in Maidenhead, Across the UK and Around the world. |
