The Open Gardens weekend will see painter and gardener Martin Dutton indulging his twin passions.
Martin Dutton has two hobbies, watercolour painting and gardening, which he has indulged in since his retirement from education marketing 10 or so years ago.

He trained in graphic design at Manchester College of Art (now part of the university) and when he and wife Sue open their small garden, in Loosen Drive in June, he will try to blend all of his passions together!

When he saw the Open Gardens advert he was immediately inspired to try and design his summer garden colour scheme around the colours in his paintings. Quite ambitious you may think, even for a painter who has twice won the Maidenhead Civic Society ‘My Maidenhead’ art competition.

Let’s see whether he can pull off his idea while raising money for Rotary charities.

Why not come and see Martin’s paintings and garden on June 25-27, 2021?
