| An artist's garden for wildlife Don't expect a neat striped lawn here – this garden is for wildlife. There are flowerbeds for insects, wild flowers, bug hotels, and wood piles, and a pond full of newts. Grass is left long, and natural woodland areas encourage hedgehogs. Opposite the house, the owner maintains two public flower beds at the entrance to Oaken Grove Park. These are an extension of her own garden and managed in the same way to encourage insects. There will be an exhibition in the house of Sarah Luton's oil paintings and watercolours, on the theme of gardens, fruit and veg. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times but are not allowed in the house as the owner has cats. |
