Strong lines and soft herbaceous planting in tones of blues, magenta and white reflecting its name can be found in our glorious garden in the Fisheries in Bray.
Designed as a practical, family friendly garden, with a spacious patio area to extend the living space outdoors where we enjoy eating out and entertaining.
Raised beds, filled with herbs and fragrant plants to attract wildlife, surround the patio and lead to a large lawn, framed with a dramatic row of pleached hornbeams and edged with beds containing a variety of plants, including lavender, penstemons, verbena, sedums, hydrangeas and roses, all providing seasonal interest. Low box hedges and tall planters add further structure.
Seating areas enable us to enjoy different views of the garden and appreciate the changing light and colour as the sun passes above. A path to one side leads to our charming summer house tucked away in a corner framed by Japanese acers, the perfect spot for relaxing with a book and refreshments in the heat of the morning sun.
And slightly hidden away to the other side of the garden there is a greenhouse and a narrow but sizeable vegetable plot giving us a variety of home grown produce to enjoy.
Glynis and Chris look forward to welcoming you to their garden which is open on Sunday from 1.00pm to 5.00pm in support of Thames Hospice.
