The Club's annual Charity Golf Day was held at Maidenhead Golf Club, Shoppenhangers Road, on Thursday 9th June. On a warm, sunny afternoon 13 teams battled it out, a team from Maidenhead company John Guest emerging as the overall winners. The players were joined for dinner and prize-giving by Rotarians and their wives. The event was sponsored by 1825, a firm of independent financial advisers based in Twyford.
This competition has been run at Maidenhead Golf Club for more than 10 years and the club is already planning next year's Golf Day which will take place on Thursday, June 1st, 2017.
This year the event raised more than £8,500, a record-breaking amount, thanks to the hard work of the organising committee. The money raised will go to Rotary charity funds and be used to support a range of good causes.
