The lovely garden at 46 Wavell Road in Maidenhead has all year interest, and is wildlife friendly. It is a plantaholic’s garden with many small trees and flowering shrubs, and deep curving borders packed with herbaceous perennials and bulbs. Lesley likes to grow a lot of plants from seed she has saved herself, and chooses plants to encourage pollinators, butterflies and birds into the garden. There is a small pond to provide a haven for newts and dragonflies. She likes to recycle and upcycle, and recycled windows have been used in a large summerhouse at the bottom of the garden, part which has a glass roof so Lesley can propagate her plants and keep tender plants through the winter. This garden will only be open on Saturday 24th June. |
