Rotarians, friends and families enjoyed the Horse Racing event which was held at the Woodlands Park Village Centre on Saturday 29th April. Great hilarity was caused by one of the races, as the animals were pigs not horses, and consequently rather unpredictable! A great deal of money was lost to a good cause during the evening - and some money won, with horse 'owners' winning bottles of bubbly. It was a lot of fun, and Lindsey and her team made a grand profit of £1,826 which will go to Rotary charities.
A message from our Organiser, Rotarian Lindsey Allen below: "A huge thank you to everyone for their help and support for our Race Night Fundraiser last night! So many people stepped forward to help in so many ways, whether supporting financially or practically - from printing race cards to setting up & clearing the hall, sorting & running the bar etc. etc. etc. What a fantastic team!
