| At this week's lunch time meeting, President Tony presented a cheque for £500 to Dorothy Dix for her charity 'Creating Better Futures'. Dorothy was our speaker for the joint meeting of all Rotary Clubs in Maidenhead in January and greatly impressed all those who attended the meeting. The charity that Dorothy founded provides education and welfare to orphans and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe, gives them an opportunity to achieve their potential, actively impacts their lives and future outcomes, and benefits their community. She explained that the donation would feed 500 children for one month, and thanked the club for their generosity. |  |
