Rotarians, their partners and members of the wider Maidenhead Rotary Club family enjoyed an early Christmas celebration last week. The evening, held at Maidenhead Golf Club on Monday, December 13, saw a welcome return of the annual festive meal which had been cancelled last year due to the Christmas lockdown. Guests enjoyed dinner and a traditional brain-teasing quiz, followed by carols accompanied by musicians from the Salvation Army band. Club president Martin Trepte said: “It was a wonderful evening of great food and fellowship topped off with traditional music from the Salvation Army band, the sound of which for many of us is the sound of Christmas itself.” |
