An evening of Indian food and entertainment was enjoyed by all on Saturday night at Holyport Memorial Hall. Around 90 guests filled the candlelit hall to enjoy a delicious 3 course meal. The delightful young dancers and singers came from local schools and were very professional, and there was also an opportunity for the guests to dance at the end of the evening (with enthusiasm but perhaps not the same degree of skill!).
President Gurdip Bahra told the guests of some of the international charities that the Rotary Club supports, in this particular case: Makindu Dental Project in Kenya, Aarti Children's Home and School in Kadapa, India, and Chachoki Eye Camp in Punjab, India.
Extra funds were raised through a raffle and a game of Heads and Tails, and the total raised for charity was approximately £1000. Thanks to all who helped to make the evening a success.
