Maidenhead Festival - a tale of Daniel and Mick the Brick...

23rd July, Maidenhead Festival, first shift for members of Maidenhead Rotary Club on Saturday morning with Pat Moore and Mike Holness running the 'Rotary in Maidenhead' skittle alley.

The nine ancient and heavy wooden skittles
(not nailed or Araldited down) were proving indifferent to the hurricane hurtling of a number of burly young men, when up stepped four year old Daniel - and with three balls created the massacre in the photo.

A little later a well built builder called Mick the Brick (named perhaps after a certain proverbial building?) stepped forward to take up Daniel's challenge.  Despite Herculean efforts he could not beat Daniel's score, but did at least finally manage to also bring down 8 skittles.  No-one through that day and indeed the whole of the Festival managed to beat their score.

It is hoped that they will shortly meet for the first time to celebrate their joint achievement and be presented with their prizes.
