Below is a message from Gordon Hughes, a member of Faringdon Rotary Club, who has been involved in the reconstruction project of this school, which was damaged in the devastating Nepal earthquake.
155 children will now benefit from the new facilities.
Dear Rotarians and Friends of Rotary,
I am delighted to pass on the good news that our Rotary school reconstruction project in Saurpani Village, Nepal, has been formally handed over by our partners, Kopundol Rotary Club, to the Saurpani School Management Committee and the Headteacher.
Photographs of the Handover that took place at the Saurpani School over this last weekend are attached.
On behalf of the School Children at Saurpani I would like to thank the Rotary Clubs of London, Maidenhead Bridge, Maidenhead, Oxford ISIS and Faringdon and District for their support and continued commitment to our education projects in Nepal.
We now plan to build on our success at Saurpani with proposals for follow-on projects.
My thanks again for your support.
