Purple4Polio is Rotary International's publicity campaign to highlight the efforts of Rotary to help free the world from Polio. 5.000 purple crocus bulbs were planted in total in four places around the town. On 16th October 2016 the first of these bulbs were planted beneath a Maidenhead 'Rotary' sign on one of the main approaches to Maidenhead by volunteers from the club.
The results of their labours may now be seen on roads leading into the town, and hopefully will continue to flower and spread in following years.
The photos were taken at the Thicket Roundabout, Maidenhead Bridge, and Furze Platt.
