The annual joint meeting of Rotary clubs from France, Italy and Germany took place in Maidenhead over the first weekend in June, from Thursday 31st May to Sunday 3rd June. 25 club members from Bonn, 13 from Tivoli and 17 from St. Cloud enjoyed visits to Blenheim Palace, London and Savill Gardens, on one of the most successful meetings for many years.
President Gurdip Bahra welcomed them all to an Indian themed Welcome Party in the Crowne Plaza, Marlow on the first evening, followed by home hospitality on the Friday evening and a Gala Dinner at The Compleat Angler on Saturday night. On Sunday everyone went to the Farewell Lunch at Danesfield House and enjoyed stunning views across the Thames Valley from the terrace on a wonderful clear, hot and sunny day.
It takes many months of organisation before these events, so thanks go to all those club members who were involved. Next year in 2019 the meeting will be in Tivoli.
