Our much-respected and loved member Ramesh Kapur received a well-deserved Paul Harris Fellowship last Monday from President Tony Lodge. The award is in recognition of Ramesh's outstanding contribution over many years to the club and the community.
Ramesh joined the club in April 1998 and was President in 2006/2007. He was Chair of the organising committee for the Boundary Walk for 5 years and ran the Rotary district shop for almost 9 years. He gave particular support to the senior citizens in our community, freely giving them much time and advice, mainly from his shop RKTV in Queen Street. He has always given full commitment to his role in the Club, the local community, and Rotary in general whenever it was needed. He is a true Rotarian who lives by the object of Rotary: 'Service Above Self'.
