The Rotary Wine Quiz, one of the most popular social events in the club’s calendar, made a welcome return on Friday night. The event, held at Maidenhead Rugby Club in Braywick, was attended by more than 100 people and helped raise £1,100 for Rotary charities. Guests sampled nine different wines – five whites including a Prosecco and four reds – and tucked into a great selection of antipasti as they tested their general knowledge and wine expertise in a challenging quiz. | Organiser Rotarian Peter Graham thanked the Italian Continental Stores which supplied the wine, food and the quizmaster. He said: “It was a great night and a welcome return of the wine quiz which has not been held since before the pandemic. The Italian Continental Stores looked after us very well and we could not have done it without them.” |
