On Wednesday 13th July, 50 senior citizens of Maidenhead enjoyed an afternoon on the Thames, an annual event that is organised by the Community Services committee of Maidenhead Rotary Club. They were picked up and taken to Maidenhead Rowing Club, where they were helped aboard the boat for a 2 hour trip down the river past Bray, through Bray Lock and back. During the trip they were given a delicious tea of homemade sandwiches, cakes, jelly, icecream and meringues made by club members' wives and partners.
