 | On Friday 17th February, 97 people enjoyed an evening of wine tasting and quizzing at Maidenhead Rugby Club. These included friends and family, members of Maidenhead Rotaract, Maidenhead Bridge Rotary Club, and Round Table. This is an annual event organised by the club's Fund Raising committee, and is always good fun. They were supported by the Italian Continental Stores, who provided the food for the evening, and most importantly - the wine. A presentation of a cheque for £200 was made from Round Table to the Club President, John Miles Griffiths, from the proceeds of the Santa's Sleigh collection at Christmas (see left). The evening made an approximate profit of £800. Thanks to all who helped to make it a success, especially the wine expert/quiz master, Gordon. |
