 | On Saturday morning 12th December at Nicholsons Walk Shopping Centre, in spite of his busy schedule at this time of year, Father Christmas (aka President Tony) came to Santa's Grotto for a couple of hours. He was accompanied by three suitably dressed and youthful(!) elves: Peter Graham, Anne Matkin and Ron Walker. At the Grotto 111 children came to talk to Santa and were all given a small present. Donations received from grateful parents totalled £90 for Rotary Charities. The highlight of the morning was the arrival of five real live reindeer complete with sleigh, to pull Father Christmas along Queen Street and then along High Street. This caused great excitement among the many families in the town centre. |
